The roots of the business trace back to the year 2004, when Amy began offering bookkeeping and payroll services from Stoke St Michael and Shepton Mallet after her first employer emigrated to Australia.

After joining a small accountancy practice in 2007, Amy acquired a 25% stake in the business. In 2015, with her business partner retiring, she seized the chance to expand her role by purchasing additional shares, partnering with another accounting expert.

Within five years, the firm has grown to include two offices and a dedicated team of seven. However, as Amy's responsibilities shifted, she found herself missing the direct client work and hands-on accountancy that first sparked the passion.

In 2020, armed with extensive experience and a renewed sense of purpose, Amy took the leap to establish her own firm—Harris Accountancy. This move allowed her to shape the business and build a firm grounded in client relationships, strategic insight, and a balanced approach to work and family. Today, as a mother of two young children, work-life balance remains a core value in her business.

Our primary objective was to modernise their website with a contemporary design that would enhance its overall appeal and functionality. This involved not only a fresh visual update but also the implementation of a user-friendly content management system, empowering the Harris Accountancy team to make easy updates and manage content without requiring technical expertise.

Furthermore, we planned to integrate social media features aimed at boosting their online presence and fostering improved client interactions, connecting them with their audience in real time. In an effort to build trust and credibility, we also intended to prominently display Google reviews on the site, showcasing client feedback and experiences.

Lastly, we recognised the importance of inclusivity and aimed to enhance the website's accessibility for individuals with visual impairments, ensuring that everyone can navigate the site with ease and confidence while accessing essential information.
