Avant Cymru are a forward thinking theatre company.

They create relevant, distinctive, imaginative and compelling theatre, Hip Hop theatre, dance, artistic events and community projects. 

They are creating a platform for conversations through theatre and artistic experiences inspired by the Rhondda Valley's community.

Avant Cymru creates Hip Hop Theatre, New Writing Theatre, new takes on traditional plays, festivals workshops and regular classes in the Rhondda and we showcase this work at home and on tour, nationally and internationally. We see theatre in its widest form, so with us you could be getting involved in drama, dance, music, visual arts, spoken arts and more - theatre is a living art and we are exploring all the possibilities.
